EasyPhoto is a very easy utility to help create pictures for the web from your digital camera pictures. After explaining all the steps you need to go through to change those 2+ megapixel / 22 inch pictures taken with a digital camera into smaller 6 inch 100K pictures suitable for email, I decided to write EasyPhoto. If you're a PhotoShop guru, this application may not be for you, but if you have a friend, or reletive that isn't, EasyPhoto allows you to do all these steps by simply dragging a folder, or camera icon onto EasyPhoto.
EasyPhoto lets you intuitively create small JPEG images by dragging and dropping images or folders containing images onto the application, lets you rotate the images, crop, resize, and finally saves them directly to a folder and opens the folder for you in the desktop. If you make a mistake, no problem, EasyPhoto supports multiple undo's and redos.
EasyPhoto supports over 30 types of image formats and automatically translates files to JPEG before saving, among a number of other features. It is especially useful to create web/email ready photos in bulk from your digital camera.
Instructions:
1) Drag and drop pictures, folders, or disks onto the EasyPhoto floating window. After you have rotated, cropped and resized the pictures, quit EasyPhoto.
2) A folder will be created and opened on your desktop containing all the smaller modified pictures.
3) To modify the default settings, choose Preferences from the Edit menu on Mac OS 9, or Preferences from the EasyPhoto menu on Mac OS X.
Requirements:
PhotoUpload requires CarbonLib and QuickTime 4 or greater to be fully functional.
I have only tested Photo Upload running under Mac OS 9, and Mac OS X.
